Peetah Morgan, an international reggae sensation from the world famous royal family of reggae music Morgan Heritage, last weekend staged series of performances at Duplex Nite Club and Brikama Jokor .The Jamaican star, is regarded as one of most influential Reggae artist of recent years, also performed in front of a multitude last Sunday, as part of activities marking the Gambia’s 48th Independence Anniversary. Attended by the Gambian leader His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, Cabinet ministers, and senior government officials, the events accord the visiting Jamaican star, who was dressed in African outfit, the opportunity to thrill his Gambian fans with the very best of his songs.
Peetah is one of the most respected reggae singers in the world and he’s on top of the list of Jamaican stars that Gambian reggae fans anticipate to see. It would be recalled that this forthcoming concert will be his second after performing with the whole crew a few years ago at the Independence Stadium, which was personally one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The band was established in 1994 by the children of Jamaican reggae artist, Denroy Morgan. The 35-year-old who is also the lead vocalist for the famous reggae band, Morgan Heritage, performed alongside Tenza, another rising star from Jamaica.
