BK Milan suffered their first defeat of the season while Elite United closed the gap to within two points as week eleven of division two got underway.

Goals from Omar John and Julaba Sawaneh in the 35th and 67th minutes respectively were enough to condemn the Bakau-based team despite an an-own goal by GPA’s Moses Jarju in the 55th minute.

The win sent the Ferry Boys to sixth position with 17 points, while BK Milan remained top with 22, two more than TMT and BST Galaxy, who both have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Alagie Bah’s stunning free-kick two minutes from time gave Elite United maximum points against Bombada at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Yundum. Elite claimed fourth with 20 points, while Bombada remained in 11th position.

Meanwhile, matches will continue Monday, 13th March 2023, with five games taking place in as many venues.

Gunjur United will travel to the Brikama Mini Stadium to take on B4U Kiang West; BST Galaxy will be looking to regain the top spot when they take on Young Africans in Basori, while Immigration hosts Hart FC in Banjul.

Kanifing East will square off with Tallinding United and Jam City battle it out with Kuteh Jombulu at the Late Ousman Saho Field.
