Deported ‘semester’ reportedly commits suicide in CRR

An anonymous source familiar with the matter, confirmed the development, saying: “The incident happened at the early hours of Wednesday morning at the outskirts of the village.”

Quizzed by this reporter on whether the deceased had any mental problem, the source said: “We understand that the deceased (Momodou Barry) has a mental problem. In fact, when the deceased came back from Italy, he had been threatening to either kill himself or someone. Unfortunately, we just woke up and saw him hanging under a tree at the outskirts of the village.”

The body of the deceased was at the Bansang Hospital at the time of going to press.
