The Returning Officer for Kanifing, Joseph Collehy, said the Democratic Party (DP) and Gambia Alliance for National Unity (GANU) who were scheduled for nomination today did not collect nomination forms and the two parties did not file any candidate in the Kanifing Administrative Area.
Kanifing Administrative Area has 19 wards. GANU and DP were registered in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
