Gambia Trade Union Bureau condemns alleged coup plot

“It is with great disappointment that workers learnt of the news of an attempted coup in our home land The Gambia.

We the members of the Gambia trade union Bureau GamTUB which represent over eleven (11) Workers unions in the Gambia strongly condemns an attempt to unconstitutionally overthrow the democratically elected Government of the Gambia.

We congratulate the leadership and the personnel of the Security services for adhering to their nationalistic responsibility in foiling the coup.

Workers under Gamtub reiterate our support to the democratically elected Government of President Barrow for the development of the Gambia  in peace and security.”
