Former protocol officers, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ibrahim JS Sanneh involved in the diplomatic passport fraud has confirmed his interest in the Chairmanship of Brikama Area Council in 2023 local government election.
Sanneh said he wants to contest to change the way and the manners the affairs of West Coast Region under the current administration is handled.
“As a young and energetic man at age of 30, I want to render my service to my people, so as to bring in essential developments, (and) properly manage the revenue. As an construction engineer, I will use my experience to construct a proper drainage systems and concrete roads across West Coast to ensure the removal of the unwanted waters around the market premises and other areas.

“I will also promote youth and women empowerment, provide proper storage facilities and friendly market environment for the women vendors, construction of enough shops…I will also find the solution to the garage, solution for the taxis mainly obstructing the access road, which as a result, makes it difficult for easy movement around the market,” he told Kerr Fatou on Saturday.
The former protocol officer said also part of his agenda is to provide the council with its own borehole drilling machine that would be used to drill a proper boreholes for the people within the West Coast without clean and drinkable water, and provide boreholes for the women gardeners across the West Coast Region.
“I will put in place a proper waste management, lobby and purchase more waste trucks and waste bins. Employ more and serious waste collectors across the West Coast Region,” he concluded.
On the 23rd August 2019, the Inspector General’s office opened an investigation into a case of diplomatic passport fraud involving three protocol officers of the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs in which Ibrahim J.S. Sanneh.
While the case is ongoing at the High Court in Banjul, Ibrahim J.S Sanneh and his fellow accused person, Mansa Sumareh have all confirmed interest in running for the BAC Chairmanship.
