Mr Jobarteh, who is the Country Representative for Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), was yesterday charged with seditious intention, incitement to violence, and false broadcasting of information.
Our sources said his bail had been extended to November 23 this year, while the police had refused to hand over his phone.

Veteran journalist and broadcaster, Malick Jeng, has been appointed director general of The Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS) effective 1 March 2021. He replaces Abdou Touray, who is transferred to Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure as adviser.
