The 3rd Senegalo-Gambia Presidential Council Meeting kicked off on Sunday, July 30, 2023, with an Expert’s Session in the Gambia.

The expert session was followed by a ministerial session on Monday, July 31, 2023, at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center in Bijilo. The Presidential Council Meeting will officially open on August 1, 2023, at the same venue.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released a statement outlining the agenda for the Expert’s Meeting. The meeting will include presentations on the progress of two Roadmaps, which are outcome documents from the 2nd Presidential Council meeting. Additionally, there will be discussions on bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas, including defense, security, border management, justice, consular affairs, finance, transportation, trade and customs, higher education, tourism, culture and heritage, health, gender, environment, fisheries, agriculture, energy and minerals
