Veronic Malack has made history as the first Gambian to receive the prestigious FIFA Master Alumni Award. This remarkable achievement is the culmination of her intensive and comprehensive training in various disciplines within the FIFA Master program, including humanities, law, and FIFA/CIES International (MA) Management, Law, and Humanitarian Sports.

Throughout her educational journey, Malack has pursued excellence at renowned institutions across different countries. She immersed herself in the field of humanities at De Montfort University in Leicester, UK, while refining her management expertise at SDA Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Additionally, she gained valuable knowledge in sports law through the law module at Neuchâtel University, Switzerland.
“I am honored to be the first Gambian to be awarded FIFA Master Alumni. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the CIES International Center for Sports Studies for granting me the full scholarship worth 25,000 Swiss francs, which is equivalent to 1.5 million dalasis depending on the exchange rate. They also took care of my living costs and accommodation, which I am incredibly grateful for. I owe them a lot, and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart,” she told Kerr Fatou upon receiving the award.
She expressed her gratitude to her employers, the Gambia Football Federation, for their support throughout the course.
Also, as a staff member of the Gambia Football Federation, I have the privilege of serving as the Assistant Women’s Football Coordinator.
